my only critique of this item is that the nuts used to attached the plate to no holes bolt have locks on them and even with the one washer give for each bolt and nut there is a gap. the license plate sat loose and the only way for me to make it tight was to use all 6 washers, 3 each side, for the two bolts and nuts that i used. which also means that the top of my license, the metal plate, and the cross bar are all attached together at the exact same location.
this is still a great option since i didn't have to drill into my bumper, but i think the design needs to be tweaked.

We checked with the manufacturer, and this was their response:
In all of the hardware packs it has a blue (or pink) slip of paper that explains the need to lubricate the nylock nuts before trying to install them. It is VERY important to do this so they do not seize. In fact we even include 2 extra nuts and bolts for customers that have them seize before reading the piece of paper. We get a customer every once in a while that calls or emails us with this same issue but it is very rare. Maybe 1 out of every several hundred kits.
