Does your state require a front license plate? Do you HATE the idea of drilling holes into your beloved MINI bumper? Do you want to avoid the ticket from the ever-friendly traffic officer? Here is the answer to your dilemma!
Fits all current MINI models:
2002-2006 R50 Cooper Hatchback
This "No Holes" License Plate Bracket (LPB) does not require you to drill into your front bumper. Instead, it utilizes a custom machined bolt that screws into the existing towhook hole. All parts are made from Stainless Steel to ensure no rust. The mounting hardware utilizes nylock nuts which will not loosen from vibration. The plate attachment screws are button head socket cap screws for a nice clean look.
The Vertical Adjustment Bars allows 6 vertical positions that you can mount your plate. The bolt length is 2-5/8" overall.
For another option, see G2NMX7300.
What's the difference between this 'No Holes' NMA2501 unit and the 'PLATYPUS' G2NMX7300 unit?
We get this question asked a lot - functionally, they both work very well. Many people make their selection based on their personal preference for the material and finidh - Powdercoat Black vs. Stainless Steel. Either way, they are both great products.

it did what i wanted, but needs a tweak.

my only critique of this item is that the nuts used to attached the plate to no holes bolt have locks on them and even with the one washer give for each bolt and nut there is a gap. the license plate sat loose and the only way for me to make it tight was to use all 6 washers, 3 each side, for the two bolts and nuts that i used. which also means that the top of my license, the metal plate, and the cross bar are all attached together at the exact same location. this is still a great option since i didn't have to drill into my bumper, but i think the design needs to be tweaked.

We checked with the manufacturer, and this was their response:
In all of the hardware packs it has a blue (or pink) slip of paper that explains the need to lubricate the nylock nuts before trying to install them. It is VERY important to do this so they do not seize. In fact we even include 2 extra nuts and bolts for customers that have them seize before reading the piece of paper. We get a customer every once in a while that calls or emails us with this same issue but it is very rare. Maybe 1 out of every several hundred kits.
