So, how about that picture of the fan?

Or, in lieu of the picture, is it blowing through the radiator into the wheel well or sucking through the radiator and blowing onto the engine?

You asked a serious question in the first post. Which was answered in the first response.
Why go to the 90mph BS?

Edit: Wasn't it just this past week when you said that the poor Mini was shaking so badly that you couldn't drive at a safe speed?
I must have missed the post where you somehow magically fixed that.......

He installed a new mirror. now cruises smoothly at 90mph

Bwhhahahahahahahahhhhhaaaaaaahhhhhaaaaaah! (Good one!)

My humor is wasted on you.

There is a feminine product called vagisil for women.

Mangisil is a made up product, for men acting like women.

I did say I would try to take the high road, but I'm rather tired today and took the low road.

Tomorrows another day.

If this post isn't proof enough that you have something personal against me, then I don't know what is. You're so caught up with arguing with me that you failed to realize that I didn't even make that comment. Lol. You should be attacking "Morris Mini K".

I had a good laugh in Saskatchewan in 2000 when we headed for Mini Meet East with the Mini 1000.  There was a longish straight section of Hwy 1 and I decided to see how fast the loaded sedan would go...with a very long run up the speedo topped at about 95 mph BUT no GPS on board then to confirm whatever the actual top speed was.

The fastest I drove the loaded OZ Van in Australia was 116 kmh/70 mph (GPS measured) very briefly while overtaking a road train on the Stuart Hwy.  Got caught up in faster moving traffic west of Detroit last summer and hit 73/74 mph (GPS measured) in the loaded Van.  With 3.65:1 FD, the Van was talking back to me.

havent seen so intense dialoging in this board since the quicksilver vs pmustang era. Back on the thread if you tune up your car properly no heating problems whatsoever. I have a  stock rad in greek summer heat, thats 40C+ and the car runs great.

Good answer to the first question, but we're ALL waiting for an answer to the second question.

you're right, an extra fan would be a good idea, i saw one guy in the san diego british car show installed one in his mini, i may need to use 10 inch fan, dunno if 12 fits

Curious, Is the California Highway Patrol in Arizona?

Secondly, stop getting into pissing contests with guys that have bigger "units"! No one knows mini's more than the guys that frequent this forum, yet you just won't listen........why?

For those of you playing the home game:
www.minimania.com/msgThread/116821/1/1/What_is_the_farthest

Quote from velocity (12/29/14)
"...the farthest i drove my car is going to work, 32miles roundtrip.. i put $5 gas, and when i get back home, the gas gauge barely moved and i still was able to drive the car around town for 2 more days. really economical. the only problem is i only ran 40mph and all other cars run 55mph... i push it to 50mph but the vibration and noise is notorious, but it can,  everything in my car is stock...."

And from yesterday (01/10/14)
"...car runs fine, i drive 90mph this morning for the first time for continuous 10minutes, no hiccups, i just slowed down when i saw the CHP hiding in the bushes..."

So again, what miracle cure did you perform to take a vehicle that barely does 50mph (unsafely) up to a sustained 90?
The most amazing part is it only took 10 days to perform this miracle.
And why didn't you post up any pictures/video that you're so fond of?

Awesome pic, Alex. I need to find my picture. I was cruising at 90 for a decent amount of time. It was on a race day. And I know there are many guys on here whose 998's hit similar numbers. My gearing wasn't too bad. And my friends know that I would regularly cruise the highway at around 75 with no issues.

But there's no way Rob has hit 90 ever, let alone sustaining for 10 minutes. He was probably posting that to be "cool" because he saw that I had posted that I ran at 90 in another thread. But he had to one-up (like I care) by saying he did it for 10 minutes. If he did it and can do it again, I'll go out of my way to give him extra information and really go all out with the help. But I know he can't/won't. Pretty safe bet.

Robster, I'm really not poking at you or provoking you with my first comments. I'm telling you not to waste your money on a radiator unles yours is broken. Your cooling issues can be fixed with good tuning and simple changes. Your fan, as Jeg posted, may very well be backwards. There are numerous things and we've listed a bunch. Do yourself a favor and fix them first and then you will have saved enough money to buy a good pedal box, throttle cable, and all the other little things we've told you needs to be fixed.

In the absence of a picture of your highly efficient 6-blade tropical fan (2A998), to my eye it appears to be backwards in your VVS video.  It's a bit difficult to see, but is a distinct possibility, hence my many screen shots.

Don't fret or feel picked on, many owners unknowingly install their fans backwards.

By the way, we all noticed your Honda-style air filter plumbing.  Aside from the fact that it probably restricts the carb more than the standard black plastic filter box does, were you aware that changes to the induction or exhaust system nearly always necessitates altering or replacing the carb needle?

I said the same thing the other day when I said "Stick a fork in me I'm done"

Yet here I am.

Just when I think I'm out I get pulled back in !

I bring shame on my house.

Take a picture of your fan and post a picture (without the chicken).

Seems to me that I asked to see a decent photo of your fan.

Yes, I did use the opportunity to ask you to refrain from the off-color language used - no need for it.

Not cool...  Why would you want to degrade yourself or your fine automobile by dropping to such a pathetic level.  From the research I've done on you, Tony (aka azBob/Paulchen/Pacific Luke/Luke/Coolsterr/Sandra the man... and of Killeen and so on), the work you've done, the schools attended, education you have and so on, you really should know better than to droop so low.

Btw - I doubt it could smoke my 998.  Of course, there a lot of 1275's that can't hang with my 998...  But, it's a lowly 998, so who really cares.  A couple of years ago I was running late to catch a ferie to the vintage races in Århus.  I got it well over 90 for more than just a few minutes, with more on tap if I needed it.  I posted it on a message thread shortly afterwards.  Your 1100 is so special that you should put two 'S's' on the bootlid.

From what I can see of you mini today, you should be proud.

Try to take a decent picture of your fan please - I see something that needs verifying.
