For me, im happy with a smooth running, quiet mini , good in gas, with lots of power going uphill.  thats my ideal mini.  Speed? not my tempo.

im happy to know that someone is keeping records of what im saying, a clear proof that he is learning from it, it's very flattering. honestly im not angry, im overwhelmed with inner joy.  nice to know i have a fan here in MM.

thank you dave!

Too funny Dave. Words will come back to haunt him, and all this on $5.00 worth of gas he put in the car 3 weeks ago. When written on the internet it is here for eternity.

It's been fun, but this place is done. I have no hatred, and appreciate the good times. But this place now belongs to Tony and his pink mini.

Color me surprised that the "road vibration" didn't make your points go out of adjustment.

Seriously, why don't you go out to the garage and do some real work on making your car safe?

At the last MME we found these on two occasions behind a super-fast white moke.  And to go out on a limb here Zippy, with that windshield is it that a Stearman or possibly a Waco?  Yours?

seriously no amount of good maintenance can make a Moke run 75 or even 60 for that matter, and you wouldn't dare driving it to that speed otherwise even your mustache will fly away at 90mph because it has no roof., those vehicles are just good for golf courses or farms.... thats just my opinion.

as to proper maintenance, first thing you should do is have an oil change, then add 20% lucas oil stabilizer. ( im serious) it makes the engine quiet and prevent overheating. it may sound like a joke but i strongly recomend it, try it just once.

Another stupid statement with no knowledge to back it up. I personally drove my Moke up to 90mph gps verified and there is a guy whose name i can't remember right now that raced a Moke at speeds up to 130mph if memory serves me correctly. By the way they are faster with the top up.

So, you went from not being able to drive above 50mph to 40mph faster just by pouring in some marvel mystery oil? Color me interested.

Well, he must be some sort of sponge, having absorbed enough knowledge to get that -ahem- mini cruising comfortably at 90mph in such a short period of time.

I just hope it's safe - don't know if Tony (aka velocity/Robster/azBob,Paulchen/Coolsterr/PacificLuke etc. and maybe someday also known as SpongeBob) has the fasteners, wheelnuts or CV's torqued to the proper specification as prescribed in the trusty Haynes manual or BMC publications.

What i have noticed with scooter boy 90 is he picks and choses the questions from members he wants to answer. He never attempts to answer ones that may portray his lack of Mini or general knowledge or ones that put him in a corner without believable answers, bit of a shame really as members here have offered help but he see's it differently.

Seasonal salutations, by the way - hope you're doing fine, would have written sooner but I've been really busy lately.

Don't fret John. On another thread he said that his temperature gauge stayed under the N* in 80f heat. Which is about as hot as it gets in Arizona. [rolleyes]

*-And, we have no idea what actual temperature "N" is.
