In the past I have seen folks volunteer to do this I think MiniMania should maybe give that a try before just removing the forum. Users like this place and have offered to help give it a try.
With a couple good Mods this place could be great again.

This has been suggested many times over the years, but generally isn't needed - we normally kinda self moderate.

Unfortunately, the turd in the pipeline is you-know-who winding everyone up and posting utter rubbish, his sole intention seems to be trolling the place into oblivion.  Whether it is malicious or just rooted in mental illness I know not, but the whole place works so much better when he's under one of the oh-so brief bans.

Now, now, Jim... Try not to get so upset over our FREE service for enthusiasts! These are just general rules for everyone, very typical for a forum setting! Nobody is asking you to be nice to anyone! And obviously you're not! You must use that jacket line often... I've heard it here before, but it seems it's still here! Remember, we're also a community that provides moral and (sometimes when needed) emotional support among friends. Would you like to share what's happening in your life that has you so unhappy? It might make you feel better... You should really check your "tubes" too! I'm not sure who else is in there with you, but we are the dominant web presence for Classic Minis in North America. Just our free "Cars For Sale" page has more web traffic than all other Classic Mini sites in the United States combined!

Have a lovely weekend! Such gorgeous weather this time of year, don't you think?

Jemal

Mini Mania would like to ask that the participants on this site treat others in the manner they would like to be treated.  Where views run contrary to your own, Mini Mania would ask that people are tolerant rather than intolerant.  Mini Mania is more than happy to provide this service with intention that it brings enthusiast around the world together to promote interest and comrade among people that share an interest in these cars. But, if a circumstance arises that this should become burdensome to Mini Mania then the message board will be removed.  As enthusiasts, Mini Mania hopes to continue this service, and asks that everyone, who participates, do so in manner that we all can continue to enjoy this site.
