Description

Upgrade your standard brakes with JCW's performance FRONT slotted and drilled rotors and the EBC Redstuff performance ceramic brake pads front & rear. This kit includes the 'standard' sized Cooper S 294 x 22mm front rotors.

This kit does not include rear rotors (JCW does not offer a matching 'slotted and drilled' rear rotor upgrade).

Cross-drilled for enhanced performance, these JCW ventilated front brakes rotors always provide immediate response with plenty of bite.

Redstuff Ceramic - 3000 Series Performance Brake Pads - For Highly Tuned Cars and Fast Street.

This material is an Aramid fibre based brake compound enhanced with ceramic particles. Updated from the previous generation pre-ceramic compound, this material is light years ahead. It lasts longer, it brakes better and is quieter. Being a hard wearing pad, bed-in times can be as long as 1000 miles and drivers must be patient until the pad takes up the shape of their disc (brake rotor).

This is a truly impressive fast road pad for repeated heavy braking. It emits far less dust than semi-metallic pads and has been proven to stop a passenger car/sedan/sport compact/hot hatch 13 metres quicker than OEM pads from 100mph/160kph. Features EBC Brake-In surface coating which conditions rotor surface and accelerates pad bed-in. Nominal friction coefficient 0.5 with approx. 50% dust reduction compared to other pads.

NOTE:
Brakes are a safety critical part of your vehicle and should be installed by a competent mechanic following vehicle manufacturers installation procedure. The surface of these brake pads is coated with a red coating known as BRAKE-IN. This coating helps your newly installed brake pads to 'seat' or bed-in quickly. However, pads should be used gently for the first 100 miles until optimum braking is observed. Being a hard wearing pad, bed-in times can be as long as 1000 miles and drivers must be patient until the pad takes up the shape of their disc (brake rotor).

Follow manufacturers instructions for 'bedding in' new pads.

If your Brake Wear Warning light is illuminated, you need to replace the Brake Wear Sensor OEM.
