We all know that our life often depends on our Braking System.

How can you tell when your Classic Mini's braking system is "good enough"? The flexible rubber Brake Hoses are a prime area for concern. The Brake Hose is exposed to both road grime and constant flexing from Suspension movement. Brake hoses, (both front and rear), are normally very thick and smooth. Shrinking and or visible cracking should raise an alarm. This is typically caused by the elements but can also be caused by age. Of equal concern is the inside of the brake hose. While there is no way to inspect it, an old hose actually swells up inwardly, often reducing the area that the fluid flows through to half or less. The best precaution for your Classic Mini is preventive maintenance. If you see cracks on the outside of your Mini's brake hoses, replace them. If you are not sure about the condition inside your Mini's brake hoses- replace them- it's not worth the risk!

Question:
I bought rear drums off you long time ago for my project mini. Finally coming around to plumbing the brakes. Not sure what end fitting for the rear drum brakes. I can see one part number on the back plate which I bought as an assembly Part number is 113545. It looks like a 3AN fitting or a 3/8 bubble flare?
Answer:
3/8" bubble
