When installing a performance clutch upgrade, it is HIGHLY recommended that you replace this clutch master cylinder to ensure proper function and to maximize the life of the clutch.

Tightening torque

Clutch Master Cylinder to pedal mechanism:  6.64 ft lbs. (79.66 inch lbs. or 9 Nm)
Clutch Slave Cylinder to transmission housing:  14.01 ft lbs. (168.16 inch lbs. or 19 Nm)

NOTES:

The clutch master cylinder has a check valve for hydraulic pressure control.  If this check valve gets blocked it can keep the system pressurized and partially or fully engaged.  If this happens, it may cause the clutch to slip and impede performance leading to premature clutch wear and eventual failure.
