Need to lose weight? Drop 36 lbs from your Mini Cooper by removing the rear seat components and replacing it with the Performance Rear Seat Delete Kit. Made from 3/16" thick ABS Plastic with a textured surface and heat-rolled edges, this provides a nice hidden storage compartment for your valuables and increases interior cargo space. It will not break or crack under pressure, and it flexs to absorb heavy weights. Uses factory bolt holes for installation. Color instructions provided.

The standard version does not have access holes for the rear seat belt anchors.
The version with seatbelt grommets allows access to the rear seatbelt anchors for racing harness designed to use those anchors

Fits the following models:

2002-2006 R50 Mini Cooper and R53 Cooper S Hardtop
2007-2013 R56 Mini Cooper and Cooper S Hardtop

If you have racing harnesses such as the Schroth harness, you will need the kit with grommets (G2NMI6011) to provide access to the seatbelts.

The seat delete is secured using stock mounting points. On the Schroth Harness, the outer belt needs to be mounted to the floor with the stock seat belt mounting bolt. The harness that plugs into the center buckles can be plugged in and removed with the seat delete in place. When you are done racing, you can simply unplug the center buckles and store your harness under the seat delete.

Manufacturers warranty applies.

Here is a video posted by a customer showing how the rear seat backs are removed:

SPECIAL TOOLS: A T40 Torx bit is required for removal of factory bolts. Torx Bits can be found for a few dollars at a tool or hardware store.

Question:
I'm looking at the rear seat delete kit for my 2012 Mini. Currently looking at the option with the grommets for the harness where it gives access to the seat belt mounting bolts. I'm looking to install this in my car to be able to haul my dog around comfortably, and I have one of those connections that hooks to his harness and snaps into the stock seatbelt buckle. I was wondering if the grommets in the RSD are big enough for that buckle to fit through so I can snap his harness in?
Answer:
From the manufacturer: "I’m not sure how big the buckle is on his dog harness, but the grommet opening is designed for the stock seatbelt buckle. So as long as it’s similar to that, it should fit that connector."
