Shims for CK22 alloy beam.

These specially manufactured shim washers go behind the adjustable camber bracket to alter tracking. Manufactured in 0.028” stainless steel they are inserted between the vertical face of the outer radius arm bracket and the frame. These shims give permanent settings and ultimate strength, yet can easily be added/removed as required. By how much the shims alter the tracking can be assessed in the workshop allowing ease of use for racers at the track. They can also be used to correct tracking on standard cars with standard radius arm brackets.

Shims smaller in height are also available for the standard subframe as CK17 with 2.25" bolt hole gaps. These CK18 have 1.75" gaps for bolts.

Shims alters tracking as follows.

A pair (one each side) alters tracking by approx 10' (thats ten minutes - part of a degree, or 1/32" or 0.032" or 0.75mm). So one shim is approx 5' or 1/64" or 0.016" or 0.4mm (increasing toe out).

Can be cut to make MK3 door hinge shims.

SPAX frequently asked questions

Frequently Asked Questions How do I adjust my rear telescopic dampers? There is a knob or a screwdriver adjustment at the bottom of each damper. If you turn the adjuster fully anticlockwise it will be on the lowest setting, then turn the adjuster clockwise - On our newer dampers there will be 28 points of adjustment and on our older dampers 14. You need to count the clicks, as once the maximum damping has been reached, the adjuster will keep turning. Always adjust both dampers an equal number of clicks.
