Check on some of the Mini engine swap forums. I've seen posts on how to put a stock Honda pump into a Mini tank.

According to what he wrote, he is using only carbs from the Honda GL
The amount of fuel would depend on the demands of the engine, so if for example his engine was only a stock 1275, a conventional electric or even mechanical pump should deliver enough fuel.
I imagine though he has something more exciting in mind.

You are right if you are suggestion the carbs he selects might be too big to be effective.
More details are in order!

You might consider the late MPI Mini's fuel tank since it was intended for the internal fuel pump and F.I. (and IIRC, a return line for that F.I.)

I think that this will be an awesome mod, with some pretty phenominal capabilities when dialed in. how many cfm will you need for your motor? I might wonder aloud how big your total displacement will be because if I'm right the GL's went something like: 1100 1200 1500 1800 cc. But I don't know about when the GL went from carbs to F.I. - Maybe for the GL1800? I'll look forward to hearing more about this subject. Best of luck in your build.

Best, MSH

Internal? Where are you actually planning to put it?

Has anyone switched from an external to internal fuel pump in their classic Mini? I was thinking of doing this and getting rid of the external fuel pump. Of course I would put in a pressure regulator upstream. I am going to run a pair of Honda Motorcycle carbs from a Honda Gull Wing.  Trying to get rid of rubber hoses and connections.
