True Dan It's just when you get out at the grocery store and you can't get the key out, you don't want to leave it with the key in it.

When you open a Mini door and sit in the driver's seat with the keys in your hand, the impulse is to put the key in and go for a drive not to fix the ignition switch.

Well I've been fighting this since I got the car.  Key goes in and then sometimes I have to spray silicon into the unit to get it out.

So finally got a replacement from Mini Mania, why did I wait so long??
