Am I crazy? Isn't the price and mileage kinda high for that amount of money?

Having owned Minis and MINIs, I say go for it! Just make sure to keep up with maintenance. Find a non-dealer service place if you can. You'll save money that way.

To respond to the question "am I crazy?"in your thread title, you should realize that you are asking that question in the middle of the asylum.  Most of us here own classic Minis and admit that ownership is a disease that, once contracted, never goes away. I suspect the same is true for many BMW MINI owners.

Welcome to the asylum!

get the warranty if it's a true parts and labor.  Some of these engines and or transmissions grenade. Ask about full engine or trans replacement if they blow.

I drove the car today!  WOW! What fun!  That car is tight! It goes straight down the road at 80MPH. Stops straight..
I felt obligated to look under the hood.   Yep, there was a motor there :). Clean, no oil mess.  THe dealer said that a bunny of the front end stuff was replaced.  I dont remember what... The inside is minty. Little “dent” on the hood.

I am leaning towards buying it. We actually put $50 down.  $7,0000 125,000 miles. A drivetrain warranty is available. $1000 five years unlimited miles

Yes, it is a 2 door 2011, I incorrectly called it a coupe thinking the two doors made it a coop

Typical car things - back sure all TSBs and Recalls have been addressed. You can contact MINI with a VIN to verify this. you did say 2011, and then Coupe... do you mean it's a 2dr Hatchback? or the Coupe Roadster that first released for the 2012 model?

Bear in mind it was made by BMW. Parts and dealer labour will be at BMW rates.
Check to see if it has an extended warranty or if you can get one.

It has been a long time since I purchased a used car. I currently own a 2016 Honda Civic. Automatic :(  Not much fun to drive.
The Mini looks to be in beautiful condition with a 6sp manual. I’ll bet it is a joy to drive. But, it has 126,000 miles. That is a concern for me.  Asking price $7550.00. Test drive tomorrow. Anything specific I should look for?

Will this car be a maintenance nightmare.  I don’’t put a lot of miles on.  About 2 miles a week since Covid...Ugh...

THanks
Monty
