I Highly reccomend U-pol Raptor Liner
https://tcpglobal.com/pages/u-pol-bed-liner
You can even get it tinted to your color. for a one time spray.
2 Liters would do the underside of a mini... minus the engine bay = but i would almost get 3 to make sure you re covered. I also did the interior floor + up 3 inches in my Moke.. best / durable' coating ever. Only slight wear shown under the heel postion where drivng under the pedals.
I did it by spraying the raptor liner = then top coated with my final paint.. both ways are acceptable.

Thanks for the suggestion of Herculiner. Looking at the reviews of the product. Most give it high ratings. I like that a gallon will do two coats. and that I can tint it.
The NAPA epoxy is $100 bucks for the gallon. The owner of the metal fabrication shop, where I buy my sheet metal, uses the epoxy primer but he is using it on bare metal as he sandblasts everything. I wasn't sure if this was good for me because all I was going to do was scrub the surface.

I can't remember the name of the product ofhand but they make one that is clear and you can tint it any colour (maybe Herculiner) i used it on a Moke.
The good thing about it is the colour is sealed into the product so there is no paint chipping from road debris, also it is a one time application there is no need to apply the chip guard then go back and apply the colour.

Hi guys. Many of you know that I've been making a Rover mini beach car. I just finished welding my last panel on. My next procedure would be to scrub the underside with degreaser and soap.
I want to paint the underside over the factory sprayed coating (paint color) and chip inhibitor (don't know what it is but it was sprayed on by the factory). I plan on using a brush and small rollers.
What paint choice do you recommend?
My choice is NAPA epoxy primer and then a DTM top coat (Benjamin Moore).
Suggestion greatly appreciated. Thanks Jim
