Thank you! For those of us not technically inclined could you please illustrate where I'm supposed to hit?

The MINI workshop manual says you have to use a 2 lb ball peen hammer and hit it on the end nearest the driver. That will release the cover from the housing and allow access to the bulb. Whatever you do, DONT HIT IT ON THE SIDE! That will cause the wiring to short out as the cover opens the wrong way. Good luck and please let us know how it goes.

For the love of god, I cannot for the life of me change this bloody ceiling lamp. I have a 2015 gen 3 mini cooper F56 hatchback. It is the one with two moon roofs although only one opens by design.
I have tried prying both the led clear housing off directly and the entire ceiling cluster but only a couple clips come off before it feels like it will snap. Honestly I'd feel a million times more confident with a video tutorial of my same model but there is not a single one online. Not even an instructional post with text or photos.

I am at my wit's end here. Please help a fellow maniac out. Ceiling cluster
