It sounds like the stereo is specified to work with US frequencies...

It MAY mean that it comes with a radio that will pick up the US AM and FM frequencies. Some countries use a closer frequency spacing to fit more stations into crowded bandwiths and use different ranges altogether.  EG  729 instead of 730 on the AM band..frequencies below 93.0 on the FM band.

If it's not Scottish....it's crap! (Cry of the Mini Tartan Owners' Clan)

Greetings...my first post.
Thisi will be my second Mini...I had a '12 Countryman.  I just made a purchase of a 2019 Countryman S ALL4, which is being shipped to me from a non-Mini dealer in Michigan.  It has 9800 miles, and spent its' life in Canada...purchased by Michigan dealer at Canadian Manheim auction.  I've seen enough pictures to know that it's showing Imperial ( converted from Metric), it has the I-drive (is that what Mini calls it?), and Apple CarPlay.  I couldn't get the Monroney, but I contacted Mini in Canada, and they pulled an option list from the VIN.  The only thing that confused me was BMW RADIO US.  Can anyone explain that??

Well, greetings from Nashville, where I anxiously await my Mini
