I thought I wanted a radio in my Mini so I bought a used one for about $15 off eBay.  I found I couldn't hear it except at stoplights.  YMMV.

Since no one really wants CDs or tapes anymore, you could troll Amazon and eBay with a key phrase like "mechless receiver".  They won't look "classic" but some are tiny and could almost be mounted out of sight.  I have also heard various people discuss mounting blue tooth speakers in their car and using their phone for music.

I don't know how vintage I would say it is, but the SecretAudio ones look like they would be easy to install without cutting a hole in the dash.

Hi all. My first post. Looking for a vintage looking radio for my '97 Rover Mini. The Classic Audio Sound radios are all for specific old cars and won't fit. Any suggestions?
