I've got a handful of Mk1 kits left - when they're gone, they're gone.

I can't help you find a set, but I have them on my car. I like them for the most part, however here are a few things you should know about them.

1. Your hood and fenders need to line up perfectly prior to installation or the Minivation hinges will exaggerate any misalignment, my hood looked fine with the stock hinges but is off on one side by +- 1/4" and it really can't be aligned because of the way the hinge mounts.
2. If you don't use a stiffener along the edge of the hood you'll bend it if you pull on it without fully releasing the catch, which is easy to do.
3. The first generation/V1 are a little flimsy you probably don't want your hood open without the prop rod if it's at all windy.
4. When fully open the corners of the hood can hit the top of the fenders if you're overly enthusiastic opening the hood.
5. When my hood is closed I gently push down the corners of the hood to get the hinges to fold completely or the corners stick up 1/4" or so.

Would I use them again if they were available? Maybe. I think the V2 version with the struts and a hood edge stiffener are probably better.

You may also try placing a classified ad on here looking for a set.

For all of our UK forum readers, replace hood with bonnet and fender with wing.......

Does anyone know where I can buy one? These are the ones that Minivation used to make that hold the hood up without a prop.
