are you sure you have a RSP? Just curious. If it is a RSP it should have BAD in the original VIN. Do you have any photos? If you are uncomfortable posting them, you could email them to me at: [email protected] I have owned two different RSP's, number 197 & number 490 (which I currently own). They are beautiful cars and slightly different than the mainstream Cooper that followed them.

i have a 1990 rsp rover mini cooper. The vin number is located in two different areas, I believe. When you open the hood of the engine you can see off to the left an aluminum plate with the vin number on it. however at the top of the engine where the chasis starts you can also see it engraved in the chasis. however when i bought the car 25 years ago i did not bother to check any of these things and the other day i noticed that three holes were drilled into the part where SAXX is supposed to be. my question is! Are the first four letters SAXX supposed to be there? because upon looking closer i dont seem to even see any letters or marks .
