Awesome all. It is just for bicycles and occasionally taking my supermoto to thr track. My lotus elise handled this well and in my case I will have similiar power...time to break out the welder..

Receiver style hitch worked great for a Bicycle Rack when wanted.
I had the same hitch Red Riley posted..

Aside from the physical difficulties of fitting a towbar to a pup/van/estate, remember that the stated (and sensible) towing capacity is tiny.

Any LWB Mini should only tow around 200kg / 440lbs. (I'm writing this at work and don't have a manual to hand for the exact figure.)

Yes, you can tow more, but you're increasing your liklihood of having an instability accident...

Rick Higgs was building them back in 2011 (per his email), but that was for sedans with side exit exhaust, not center exit.

Of all the Mini pickups I've sold, I've never had one with a trailer hitch. Sedans, yes, but no pickups or long-wheelbase Minis.

When I was importing containerloads of Minis from New Zealand, we would occasionally find sedans with trailer hitches, even on 850cc Minis!

Awhile back, I was offered this pickup in Texas with a trailer hitch, but it's not a pickup that I brokered. (The owner sent it to a new home before his listing went on the public side of my website.)

Chasing leads on a few other pickups... and tips, leads or links?

Or you could do something similar to this.
I took this to a trailer hitch shop and they were going to build it for me, but I liked the receiver one better.

Sorry, I can't remember who, but someone on this board made these a while back. I've got one on my car.

Never seen one specifclly made for a pickup.  I had one for a 'sedan" with a reciever and it was a home made jobby too.. Worked great,
It bolted to the rear seat floor pan = and up to the rear sub frame rear cross beam.

For a Pickup.  you have a gas tank to go around / Reach around.

you would need to extend this' raised piece.. below the tank then up for the hitch.
