I have over 40 years experience working with cars in the auto body industry. With that thought, I feel certain that the items I checked are original to this car. So thanks once again folks for your efforts in helping me to figure this out.

MD..the boot lid lock and wiper motor dates.. can be WRONG as they could have been replaced..as the wiper motors do NOT last but few years.. later bc

MD in UK. take off the plastic cover and you will see day month and year.. also is on the winderglass.. TRIPLEX did this on ALL classic minis.. later bc

I'll take a look at those two locations tomorrow. I did see the boot lid lock information on this website, but failed to look there earlier. Where on the wiper motor would I find a number?

I'm looking at this VIN and as I used the resources department, I came on a bit of a road block. SAXXL2S1N20******. Part 2 states the 10th character "2" is 1984, but the number wasn't actually used until 1985. Nothing more is written other then the heading stating 1990. Can anyone point me in the right direction?
