When the brake, stability, and abs lights come on at the same time, this can be caused by a failure of one of the rotational speed sensors. (Usually, the flat tire monitor would come on as well....) Unfortunately, it is difficult to know which of the 4 sensors has failed unless a MINI dealer scans the car with their computer...

There may be other causes, but this is one of them.

Brake issues are considered proprietary codes, won’t show on a obd2 code reader. You can usually get a free read at an auto parts store.

Hello there, So our 2012 Mini Countryman 2WD non-S has started intermittently popping on (all at the same time) the Brake, Stability, and ABS lights and it doesn't seem to be cause by any specific scenario like braking, turning, or going over bumps. The lights have popped on while sitting in the driveway and while cruising down the highway. sometimes the lights will stay on for several min. and other times it will pop on and then pop off. Always announcing it presence with the service ding we all know too well. 
I have hooked my scanner to the car while the light is on but do not get any codes (stored or pending) I have checked the front left wheel sensor and connections and everything looks to be tiptop. Also, all brakes pad have plenty of meat on them, brake sensors look good, and brake fluid is at the proper level 
Has anyone else had this issue? Any suggestion on how to repair or what I should check next would be greatly appreciated.
