Since the 2007 hardtop and 2012 hardtop are the same 2nd generation models, you probably 'can' retrofit the 2012 nav screen into a 2007 model. However, if you ask if it can be done without too much trouble or expense, I would say NO.

The GPS uses a special antenna in the rear quarter window and roof antenna along with other electronics. Then you have the harness to connect everything. And finally, you need to program the car's computer to activate everything.
