South Carolina’s gas tax is currently 16.75 cents per gallon. Plans are to add 12 cents to that at 2-cent per year intervals, which will increase  that up to 28.75 cents when the 10 year plan is complete.

MD in the UK..  some states did go up .60 cents this week.. I know SC is going up  80 cents over next five years..

It went up $0.06 a gallon, not $0.60.  
I simply stated what was written. I had not heard anything about a gas tax increase prior or since. So gas prices in my zip code remain unchanged. I apologize if my post may have upset anyone needlessly.

I was just reading an article about a huge tax on gasoline coming Monday. As much as .60/gal in California. Will this be enough to make Americans put there gas guzzler SUV/P/U Trucks out back for a bit, and resort back to the small cars with better MPG? Wait and see. History may be getting ready to repeat itself. And most importantly, will American consumeres ever learn?

yea.. they even went after me.in 2001. but I knew the PRES of BMW MINI. ( the late) Jack Pitney and problem went away..  I know Mini Spares and Mini Sport. won these cases in the Uk of the use of the name.. also. late rbc
