I brought the block, crank, rods and pistons to the machine shop to have them checked for cracks and to be measured. This is the only picture of the crank that I took before I dropped it off. I don't think it has been wedged but to be honest I don't know what a wedged crank looks like. Any of the ones I have seen online say they have been wedged but don't look much different than stock or they have been machined so much they don't resemble this at all. Are there different levels of wedging? This is the first engine I will be building so this is all new to me. I appreciate the responses. I'm kind of leaning towards it maybe being a job number but would think they would just put a tag on it instead of taking the time to engrave it.

It looks like its been wedged. Can you post a picture of the whole crank?

Does not look factory i would guess it is something engraved by whoever reground or balanced the crankshaft at one time.
