OP said heel board - which is the front mounting panel for the rear subframe.
Car engines make CO2 and trees absorb CO2. By running your engine you're feeding a tree and helping the environment.

They are on a bracket welded inside to the inner sill and heel board.
The outer sill covers these parts over.

I'm still learning about Mini's. I thought this car I bought was going to be easier than is has been. Question- On the heel board, are the weld nuts for the subframe attachment on the heel board or are they on a bracket inside the body panels that the heel board covers up?
