Interested in the dash and mounting hardware if you're selling
I'll figure it out eventually

I removed mine (V belt driven) in a few Hours. Do Mother Earth a favor though and get the refrigerant removed first. A decent auto Wrecker can usually do that. They shouldn't charge as they can recycle the R-12 or R134a.
Once empty, it all unbolts fairy easily.

Hi-It was so nice to get the A/C out of my Mini. Took some time but well worth it. The problem in selling it was the cost of shipping, no one wanted to pay the $150 to $180 in shipping.

The Astro Air A/C for the MPi did use the serpentine belt drive. It actually mounted the compressor pulley facing the motor (compressor opposed to the motor rather than being in-line with the other accessories.)
As far as I know this was a dealer-installed option (and sold aftemarket) for the MPi models, which I think is why it is hard to find. If I'm not mistaken A/C was standard factory equipment for all JPN SPi Minis.

I can't remember if the MPI block has a serpentine a/c belt or not.
When doing the SPI correctly you change the alternator bracket and re mount it where the a/c compressor is mounted.
Post a close up picture of your engine showing the belt, alternator and a/c set up.

Your profile does not say where you are located. I work on a classic with the MPI block/SPI injection. We have had the system out a couple of times. Steve (CTR)

It’s a JDM mini with the side mounted radiator. MPI block SPI injection Set up. I’m mostly interested in what parts I need to remove it and make it like it was never there. I know I’ll need a new dash but unsure about the part below my dash or if I need to change anything under the hood other than just taking it out.

Is your late model Mini have the front mounted radiator? If so, I also would be interested, if Bill passes or I'm located more conveniently to you (i.e. West Coast of USA.)
