Hi,im New to this forum. i have an 2003 mini Cooper s r53 With some issues With the headlights. my problem is that i cant turn off the low beam headlights(xenon). they stay on even if i try to switch to parkinglight ,the first thing i did was order a New lightswitch.this did not help. this ofc led to a failed MOT.
i have done some Research about the issue ,most of the Research ending up in concluding that bringing the car to the nearest dealer and have them reprogam the daytime lights module. this would probably help ,but i live in the Northernmost part of Norway and the closest dealer is in Trondheim, some 1200km from where i live, transporting my car that distance is no option. a friend suggested that i could try to program the module myself provided that i could find a programing tool that would work. found a coding program called ista-p.my question is if anyone here have experience With this Programming tool? and if its suitable.
