I decided to go with the A1 Cardone Turbocharger from Rock Auto for $635.  It has a 3 year 36K miles warranty.  Thanks Guys for your help.

I don't have experience with MINI turbochargers, but the turbo is likely not the only part needing replacement. Since they get very hot, the assorted parts connected to them may be seized, rusted or otherwise compromised. Pipes, hoses etc. may also need to be changed. But the big dollar item is usually the labour cost to get at it. Does the engine need to be pulled out to get at it? MINI parts and dealer labour are not cheap!

Ask the dealer for a breakdown of parts and labour.

Hi
I am looking for an affordable replacement turbo for my 2011 Mini Cooper S Clubman (R55).  The dealer says it's bad and wants 4K to replace it.  I found a couple on https://www.turbochargerpros.com for roughly $550 which is $300 cheaper than a refurbished from MM which requires mods.  I am not looking to increase performance over the stock setup. These are direct replacements that do not require any other enhancements according to the documentation.  Has anyone used either of these? If so what was the result?  Would you recommend either? The stigan has a 2 year unlimited mileage warranty.
