Partial answer is from start to at least some time in 64, but they may go past that date.

Keith and Deb,

Not sure when the change occurred from original equipment 5 bolt but when the after market bumpers became available, 3 bolt became the means of attachment ! ?  cost savings ?

I do not wish to hijack your post but would you have original MK 1 bumpers that you would being to sell or know of someone who does ??

For the restoration of my 1965 Mini Cooper S.

Have looked at the stainless steel bumpers being offered and they are 0.022" thick about half the thickness of an old after market bumper
that I have.

Regards,

Jim Knight

Does anyone know when the chrome bumpers changed from 5 bolts to 3?
