With you and Rob on drums i don't know how you did not boil the brake fluid and get massive brake fade coming down those "hills".
You're right it was a blast.

If in doubt, flat out. Colin Mc Rae MBE 1968-2007.

Not many hills in Florida but did feel them in Tennessee on the CMU trip but we had a blast catching the pack up on the way down right Mark (tenmoke).

Oh! My Moke has a tow hitch. Need to figure out what to do with it

Great to hear .. Spent my day running around town too!  Moking is about the drive not about getting there FAST as the interstate will take you.  850 will do it all day .   998 would help SOME for better travel but do you really NEED more from the moke. You made quite the adventure from Houston to Dallas Straight off the boat, now time to ENJOY!

I know I had a thread going on this, but can't find it, so started a new one.

Just a brief update that the Maltese Moke I bought from England is now titled (provisionally) in Colorado. Should get the real title in about 2 months - they are backed up due to new system. No dramas getting it titled. Helps that they know me there now. The certified weight I had to get came in at 1260 lbs.

The 850 is great up to about 50 mph around town. Can do 60 on the freeway if needed. That's on the flat. Going up a hill is quite another story! There is a 75mph freeway merge up a hill that I shall be avoiding. Will do about 30 mph up the canyon to my house.

Can't stop driving it - such a blast.

*edit* should have noted that the 850 was certainly more lively at sea level when I drove it in Texas. I can even tell the difference between Denver (5280 ft) and my house (6400 ft)
