I purchased a Delrin rod and turned on a lathe to slightly less than the I.D. of the parking brake handle. Measure the length of the button that came out and cut off the Delrin rod to that length. Before cutting off the Delrin rod, round over the end with a file to give you the contour of the original button. There is metal rod in the handle that the white button will push onto. So, measure the O.D. of the rod and drill a hole in the end of the button to less than the O.D. of the rod to give you a press fit.
I am restoring a 1965 Mini Cooper S and just performed the above. The metal rod in the handle did not have threads.
Hope this makes sense.
Jim

Iv'e never seen the buttons offered as indivitual replacements anywhere. Or havnt seen any other British cars with the 'white' button.
For repairs. I would be Find a replacement handbrake + take or swap the knob Or I would start by Filling with Epoxy + then re drilling and tapping for the rod inside.
If machining capabilities a nice alum one could be turned up with some skill...

It has been awhile but I think that should be threaded and screw onto a rod inside the tube. I have 5 things to check on today will look when I get there. Steve (CTR)

1967 Austin Moke.. the parking brake handle.. big long handle.. well at the end of that handle is a white end cap.. the thing fell out.
I tried to push it back into place but it will not stay.. if i look into the break handle I see a spring of some sort.. do you know how I can get this back in. my parking brake does not work now.. thank you. pictures attached.
