Friend of mine gave me 03 Mini with bad transmission for free. I couldn't refuse and drove my Durango with tow dolly 350 miles one way.
Based on his description belt broke. According to youtube video belt pieces kill gears, prices of 2 of them (from vide0) $1700 and $1300.
Today I paid $100 for broken transmission, took it apart half way and found good belt(!!!!!!!!) and broken pump shaft. This discovery gives me a chance to get one good transmission out of 2 broken ones.
Now I need CVT service manual, don't want to screw up my chances. Which company manufactures Mini CVT transmissions? It can be English, German or Japanese transmission.
