I did Black Bear Pass four days ago for the second time in a fully kitted-out Land Rover. I do not suggest attempting in a Moke, even one with increased ground clearance. Your vehicle needs greater articulation than a Minis suspension can provide.

How about a Moke? An Australian "Big Wheeler" has 8" of ground clearance - compare to a Jeep Wrangler Rubicon with 10". With Hi-Lo's, you could probably get the Moke up above 9" (anybody know)?
Approach Angle Big Wheeler - 46 degrees: Wranger Rubicon - 42 degrees
Departure Angle Big Wheeler - 51 degrees: Wranger Rubicon -32 degrees
A couple of days ago I was wondering if a Moke could get down Black Bear Pass Road from Ouray to Teluride in Colorado (//coloradoguy.com/black-bear-pass/colorado.htm) - bet that would be fun. Would want a skid plate and disk brakes for sure. And maybe a turbo for the nearly 13,000 foot altitude at the pass. . .
At Mokin' Jervis Bay, several of the participants said they had two Mokes, "One for the road, one for the bush". Ah to be in a land where Mokes were so readily available!
Big Wheeler Moke specs here: //mk1-performance-conversions.co.uk/pdf/big_wheel_moke.pdf (a great site for Mini and Moke literature!). Wranger specs here: //www.miamilakesautomall.com/jeep-blog/angles-ground-clearance-easily-understood-jeep-wrangler/

Cute video. Looks like something I'd have tried in my youth. Come to think of it, my brother and I in my first Mini travelled for a mile or so over deep snow packed down by snowmobiles. Most of the trip was over moguls not unlike the mounds and hollows in your video. That was on 10" bias-ply summer tires. If we had broken through the pack, we'd be into snow 1.5 to 2 feet deep. It would have taken a lot of digging.
.
"Hang on a minute lads....I've got a great idea."

Ever wonder what the best offroad vehicle is? A Jeep Wrangler? Toyota 4runner? perhaps a classic mini....? We set to find out! Check it out, this one is worth a laugh (and you might be surprised with the results)
