I've found the exact opposite regarding K-Line & Walenius Wilnhelmsen.  WW are very helpful, although they are slightly more expensive. If using K-Line, then anything not nailed down, will walk. Not sure if it's Dockers, or Ship staff, but I've never had even one problem with WW. The Booking staff at WW, especially Debbie Greenwood, are very helpful. They will handle ALL the Export Paperwork on your behalf, for a fee of £30 GBP.
That includes notifying HS that your cars arrival is due on next ship.
I've only seen ONE suspicious Mini being held at Southampton for further inspection. It sat off to the side for a month, before finally shipping.  At that time I was in and out of docks all over the UK, so I kept an eye on it.

Anyone who attended the Mini Fun Fest in Coco Beach in Florida in February this year will remember seeing Jim, “ The Scottish Silver Fox” driving his beautiful  Figaro at the show

Bill, there was ONLY 4 official Factory colours, to represent the 4 seasons.  All other colours are aftermarket and personal choices.  I like the Topaz Mist, and Emerald Green the most.                                                                                               Regarding a TWIC Card, not sure I would get one, or even want one.   Remember, I'm a UK citizen.   Yes, I have a B1/B2 Visa on my Passport, but not sure that would make a difference. jim.. about the TWIC card.. you should just get one . only $120.. you get fingerprinted by FBI . easy peacy.. as for the $50 as guest.. all depends on the port.. I think someone told me it is $150 for guest pass at port of charleston sc now.. ( the prick that told me THOUGHT I should drive a mere EIGHT hours and I could escort them in for FREE.. ( you know what I told them) I very rarely go to port anymore. I just got my tow driver and his wife a TWIC CARD..later bc

If it's Factory original, then the official colour is Topaz Mist....they originally came only in 4 colours, Emerald Green, Lapis Grey, Aqua Blue and Topaz Mist.  The Green one seems to be the best selling colour, although the Topaz is better looking in real life.  Photos don't seem to favour it.  They are susceptible to corrosion around the Rear Wheel Arches, and the Sill areas.  Front section of car is Composite Material, so doesn't corrode. The Bumpers are also guilty of rotting, and are bloody expensive to replace. The Engines are capable of very High Mileages, but keep an eye on the Cooling System, as it has an Aluminium Engine. Smashing little fun cars to drive, but not as agile, or nippy as a Mini. Definitely a lot more comfortable. My partner loves her Figaro.

Regarding TWIC Card...does that mean the $50 Charge no longer applies for entry to Dock area, if you don't have a TWIC?   Last car I uplifted from Brunswick, they charged $50 to accompany me onto Dock to let me drive it home.

ps.. just let me know if you need a CBP entry .. I am using Western Overseas now in Charleston SC as they bought out GLC.. btw .. tough to do a CBP your self now.. on east coast.. without Customs Broker in 2018. as most ports require importer to have a SCAC and ACE.. number.... also you MUST have TWIC card to get in the port.. later bc
