It's pure speculation, but the 2007-2010 Cooper S models had issues with the high pressure fuel pump - might be worth checking...

Just bought a 2007 R56 and after driving for a while and gets to operating temp. I'll turn the car off run an errand and then it won't start until car cools back off. Any thoughts of what could be wrong? New to the Mini world. Switched from Corvettes and Camaros...
