The other good thing about the flat wide band clamps Darren is they do not distort the header and the Y branch like the normal circular ones do. This makes it easier if you ever have to remove them again. Even better are marine ones as they are stainless but pricey.

If in doubt, flat out. Colin Mc Rae MBE 1968-2007.

I disagree respectfully. I am now going to send you some pictures I took today. If it looks like the car is in the Longbridge Mini shop I’ll eat my hat. No , I didn’t pick up a news paper to prove my location , but you will notice the “ tent “ type of Crappy Tire garage that I was planning to use. Plans have changed, and I am having my Mini towed first to a muffler shop for a header ( yes, as Malcolm noted, it is an LCB with 3 clamps ) back exhaust system ( including the long width , narrow clamps that are required to keep things from moving backward from the header ) , then , the same day, it will be towed to a 10”x20”x10” storage room , with garage doors. This gives me a concrete pad for my tall axle stands and a smooth surface for my creeper, both of which would not work well on the gravel floor of my brothers “ garage”. Then I will be ready to set to fixing the things that need fixing, and when it comes out after one or two months, it will not only be ready for its special MVI, but my graphics plan and undercoating, waxoyl, etc will also be done. Ready to roll anywhere I chose. Keswick Ridge is a bit too judgemental for me. As I’ve mentioned before, most forums are open to people who are not owners, but may have an interest , and wish to learn more. To call me a fraud because I don’t report to his schedule is pretty cheesy imho. Alas, please put the photos up, and I will send you an extra one , with newspaper from Charlottetown and that days date, I don’t have a use for a selfie stick, and don’t intend to buy one. Thanks Dan.

I know you are discouraged now, but I remember you saying you wanted a Mini to tinker with. Sounds like you have a list to get started on. You'll feel better once you get stuck in. We are here to help.
Sir Dan as far as i know, Darren has already sent you bunch of photos of his mini when it arrived
It shows how little you know.
I have all the photos Darren has sent me so far and all photos of the Mini are pre-shipping, taken by Braden in his shop in Lethbridge Alberta.
Go away.

Darren, Mike has every right to be sceptical. You said you would post pictures of your Mini in your possession, but you still have not done that. I suggested you take a picture but you said it was too cold, yet your recent posts about the shifter and other new questions suggest you are doing some work on the car. Your procrastination on this is beginning to cause doubt in me too. I don't want it to be that way.

If you still can't post photos, my offer to do it for you still stands.

I think Alex was correct.
IMO your post shows an arrogance based on zero fact, and does not even read as proper sentences.
Designed to infuriate an innocent forum member, your post had its desired effect. It made my day worse.
So I stepped away from your ugly post ve9aa, and waited for a time when I was not emotionally charged.
Just calm and ready to address your post. As I am now, Mike.
Did you feel better after the cheap shot ? I think you likely did feel better. The post reflects poorly on
     your character.

Considering the floor starts around a foot to the rear of those clamps they would need some extra long bent ass bolts to align up.

"Specialist" stay on your own thread as you claimed you would originally. You just spew crap and miss information on a daily basis here and it is not wanted. Keep your You Tube, backyard shade tree mechanic, pour a bottle of this and that in your engine fixes to yourself non of us want to hear about it and it is NOT wanted here.

The exhaust is NOT bolted to the floor there.
