Follow up:  Got the wiper motor running intermittently.  Turns out the my switch works sometimes and sometimes not.  Deoxited it, no better.  I found the terminals with the two speeds now.  As I look at the switch diagram in the Haynes manual it is for a MK2 with negative ground, DUH!  I should have thought about checking that before.  I ran two positive fused and switched wires to the wiper motor.  Now to get another switch.

Great Thanks!  I will download the conversion.  I was lying in bed thinking last night if it could be just switching through the ground wire. I think that I may try to run separate wires to power on the wiper motor, then use an extra headlight switch with an extra position to operate it at two-speeds.  Thoughts?

The Mk 11 wiring is for a 1 speed wiper motor. The 1 speed motor has 3 wires. 1 wire is green, that will be "hot" with the key switch on. The black wire is grounded at all times. The black and green wire is grounded through the toggle switch, when the switch is in the "on" position. The switch  completes the circuit.  (Picture that the circuit is completed, (on/off) through the ground wire, not the power wire).
Your Aussi has a 2 speed wiper motor. It may or may not have a self park feature. Their is an article here in the M/M article section about converting from a 1 speed to 2 speed wiper motor. (I could not make the link thing work). If you read the article, and study the wiring. you should be able to make your 2 speed work, but only at 1 speed. To make it work at 2 speed, you would need more wires and a different switch.

Fellow Minioids,  OK, I have a problem wiring my 1967 Morris Mini Cooper S (Aussie).  I am using a MKII wiring harness because I want an alternator provision.  Everything is wired up and looks good except the wiper motor and heater.

The wiring diagram for a MK2 Mini shows a black with green tracer and two black wires that go the the wiper switch and motor.  Well, black is a ground so how can it go the the switch?   I have four terminals on my Aussie two speed wiper motor, I am assuming two grounds and two hot fused wires.  I may have to just run separate fused wires to the wiper motor.

I have a MK1 heater with a switch on it and 3-wires coming off of it.  Two white wires from the motor and one green wire with from inside the case????
