Usually this is a resistor block issue, used to look like several coils on a board, now there are thick film versions, they are installed into the air flow to keep them cool. Check rock auto to see what it looks like, and purchase. should go by the name "fan speed resistor" or some such. Inless you get all fan speeds on floor or vent.
