You need to replace your window rubber seal not the latch itself.  The rubber seal gives the latch the tension when in lock position.
Your rubber must already been flattened

Yah, i agree... the real problem is how to keep it open... maybe he’ll realize later that he’s wrong. Aanyway... i use low tension spring to keep it open
I guess I don't know the difference between open and closed. STFU

Assuming you have a similar latch mech on the elf to say a Mk3/4 mini....You have to very carefully and gently bend the angle of that arm to account of the pin slack (wears over time).  When you bend to, you create more clamping strength, but you will also create stress on the anchor point at the glass. So be careful.

I had same issue and when compared to the other window, I saw there was a difference and ultimately figured it out.

Yes, exactly. It's fighting against the weatherstrip. I have use both hands when I shut the driver's door. One to hold the window closed while I shut the door. It's actually pretty amazing that the car is air-tight enough to make it pop out.

Robber band? Is that like Robin Hood's merry men? I could have Will Scarlet sit in the back and hold it closed.
