Yesterday I spotted a red Mini under a car cover here in town. What caught my eye was it has a front spoiler? So I stopped by and talked to the owner. He has been a Mini owner for years and actually lived in Britain and owned two over there.
This car is a 1959, I didn't even know they made them then. He said that was the first year. It has that Honda or what ever engine. The front is fiberglass and flips up. It's set up as a racer with a full roll cage seats and custom instrument panel. External door hinges and those sliding windows. The rear is fiberglass as well. Kind of cool looking. You know me I not a purist.
