Ok I see what you were trying to show.  I see that all the time driving up here in Oregon.  The sun goes down early and those LED's are really brighter.  I kind of like the the round lenses you can have on during the day just to be different.

Those are the 3500 models.

Which link doesn't work for you? The "LED Light Comparison" one? That should just be a front view of a green Mini with the LED light installed on the left, and the original seal beam light on the right. The left light is much brighter, and cooler in color than the original.

Here's another link to the flickr album that houses that pic. Let me know if you still can't see it.

ShepMini, did you buy the complete lamps or just the bulbs? Were you replacing seal-beam or other?
Would the complete lamp fit in the later plastic headlamp bowl?
These were complete lamps - including an LED bulb assembly that had a pigtail that integrates the ballast and cooling fins. I was replacing original style sealed beam bulbs. Not sure if they fit in the later plastic assemblies (assuming they *should*) - but they fit in my '69 metal frames and bowls just fine. They fit into the adjuster frames just like a stock bulb, and the end of the pigtail has a plug that just plugged into the car's existing harness.

I'll try to get some pics of the assembly on my car tonight if I have time. You might also contact VintageCarLED directly as well. Their customer service is very good in my experience.

Yes! The lights are significantly brighter than the old incandescents they replaced. Have to be careful to aim them though so as not to blind the oncoming cars. They are BRIGHT!

Here's a comparison with the old lights (LED on the left, originals on the right):

Wow, Thanks.  You saved me from an obvious disapointment.  I'll have to spent more time looking for the style I'm interested in and then whether they really work.

The Genssi 7" units are a REALLY cheap knockoff of the JW Speaker 7" units. You're going to hate them if you buy them. And you'll certainly regret buying a headlight that barely puts out the same amount of light as the old sealed beam units..

Watch the video below... and save your money

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vy75nqKuf1Y

I get that they're only $100 shipped for a pair, but unless you just want cosmetics and never intend to use them at night... save your money.

When it comes to LED headlights, you 10000% get what you pay for. You can find something that looks good or even works well out fo the box, but the cheap ones use extremely cheap circuits, plugs, and diodes. You won't save money in the long run. That link has a good review on all of the units currently on the market. Check them all out and decide what you want. Looks, cheap, or function. If you want a REALLY high quality alternative, you should keep your eyes on my posts and youtube channel. I'll be making my own LED headlights soon. Might even be coerced into making a couple pairs for others if they're wanted.

Should be no trick needed to wire them, LED's headlights are much lower current than stock bulbs. Which is to say you should not need a relay, and if one is there that's fine too. It's the low current on LED turn signals that need the resistor "trick" to make the flasher unit work.

Still can't figure out how to download Amazon's picture.  Anyway it has a round light around the outer edge as a driving light then two lites in the middle, low beam and high beam.  Maybe I'll get them to see how they look.  Just curious if there's a trick to run them off standard 12V system.

Post a link, now you're assuming I'm computer literate.  It's a GENSSI 7" for a Jeep Wrangler listed in Amazon.

Post a link to the headlights you're talking about. I'll let you know. There are hundreds of different 7" round headlights. Not all are created equal.

If you all didn't already know I'm not a purist and put my personality into my cars (93 Mini, 72 Porsche 911 and 65 Corvette).  I'm looking at some LED headlines I saw on Amazon.  7" for a Jeep.  They have a round ring LED that can be your day driving lights then the main high/low bulbs in the middle.

Is there any issues with wiring these LED's into the stock electrical system on my Mini??
