That Moke was a local UK show in the Summer.
The owner had just bought it, and was very pleased with it - though not so pleased when we pointed out the VIN was iffy.
He's obviously bailed out.
I'm surprised Coys sold it with a dodgy VIN, they're usually very careful about that sort of thing.

Wow strong buyers premium and if they are getting that 17% from both seller and buyer (usually the way) for a 34% total using Mark's figures that's roughly $5922.00 in fees WOW..........
Interesting this same Moke JOA 571E listed at Bonhams for the December 6th sale sold on 2nd September this year for £16100 GBP or $21629 USD.
Also interesting the first Moke LDD 384E sold on September 9th 2017 for £15833 GBP or $21271 USD.
Not sure why both of these Mokes would want to be sold on so quickly as there is no fun left after fees.

If in doubt, flat out. Colin Mc Rae MBE 1968-2007.

The Coy's Moke sold for 13,000 pounds. At $1.34 per, that is $17,420 plus a buyer's premium of 17% totals $20,381.

Looking closer at the photos, the rear grab handles look wrong and the bodyshell looks more like a 64-66 Moke than a 67...

Nice looking Moke, but wondering what the story is? M/AV4 is the prefix for a Morris Mini Van. Not a Moke VIN. New bodyshell? Will be interesting to see if it sells for what they estimate £18-£25 large? One thing is certain, with that VIN on a Moke it wouldn't make it through US Customs nowadays. Anything coming to the US has to have original engine, etc. Don't think completely different bodyshell would make it. Also, if it does fetch good money and after the transaction is completed the new owner discovers his Moke is a VAN, would the auction house have to eat it? Just a thought.
