Sounds like you are on the right track.  Let us know what you find out.

Yes blower works for windshield and feet, just not dash.... I found something online someone else saying that they had same issue we did and it was because a servo motor was blocked somehow which coincidentally for us would possibly be our issue as our vents worked before but not now so thinking we blocked it somehow when we changed the heater core a few weeks ago.  I am going to pull the stereo and controls there etc this weekend hopefully and see if I can find anything.  Re the doorlock ya prob just strange timing but hey you never find out if you dont ask eh lol.

when you say the dash vents were not blowing air - can you hear the blower motor running?  and I presume this is true with just the fan without the ac 'on'?

The drivers door lock has to be a separate issue - it is not an uncommon problem.

Any ideas at all would be greatly appreciated.

We have an 03 Mini R50 which has a few issues.  The dash vents were not blowing air.... so we read online how to put the car into A/C diagnostic mode... now it flashes between 01 and FF.... and none of the heater controls work at all now...  We have tried unhooking the battery etc to get it working again, but nothing seems to work....  Seems weird that it would be a related issue but at the same time the drivers door wont lock or unlock with the key fob but can be done manually... strange coincidence?  Ideas are appreciated.  Thank you, Dave.
