AHA!  I stupidly used the wrong differential housing.  I have three and I used the one for the sandwich plate.  I will swap it out and re-shim the diff.  Hopefully I can do it in a couple of hours.  If this does not work out I may take you up on the sandwich plate.  Thanks you guys!

Steve,  Thanks for the advice.  I will keep looking.  I took the damn thing apart, meaning remote from the 1128 gearbox last winter, so it should have had the sandwich spacer but I cannot seem to find it in my garages.  Thanks!

Should we figure you have an AA type remote with the sandwich plate. The type that the bolts ( 8 ) go in from the side? I have a couple of the AA type remotes. I use the AA 1128 trannys to convert to magic wand four synchros. The sandwich plates I have are in real bad shape. The rubber has softened to the point the spacer is no longer useful. I burn the rubber out and clean the parts up. I forget dia. of the rod but I weld rod in place of the rubber and convert to a solid mount. Steve (CTR)
