Big Al,  Any good deals on minis at MME that you know of?  I might be in the market.  Lorine said that I can run the WRX in the Autocross, but they are only timing Minis! LOL!

Just a heads up:

anyone wanting to attend without your mini can can fly in to Stewart Airport at Newburgh NY about 20 miles south of the mini meet

Allegiant Air, the notorious cheap low cost airline fly into Stewart

 Cheap yes, no frills, no nothing, limited schedules into Newburgh NY but will work for some

I searched, but did not find this thread, so I deleted the one that I just started.  Anyone looking to share a room at the host Hampton Inn, hit me up.  Looking forward to seeing my old mates, Scargo, Big Al, Alex and Suzie, and many more.  Sadly, I have not owned a mini in something like 10 years, but currently ripping it up in a 268 HP '17 WRX.  I don't check here very often, but can get voice or text messages on my Mobile 8 (six) 0 - 39 (one)  - 1 (seven) hundred.  email at bill (at) mitchel (dot) net.  Cheers All!! The meet is quickly approaching! It’s time to make your plans to attend Mini Meet East 2018, if you haven't already done so. Currently, our registrants consist of 90% classic Mini and 10% new MINI.

A $20 late fee applies to registrations submitted/postmarked after June 1.

In addition to the late registration fee are the hotel accommodations... After June 1, the hotel group rate of $99.00 + tax per night is not guaranteed. After June 1, this rate goes up to somewhere around $200 - $250 per night.

We have a great meet planned for you, with an organized drive planned every night.

Don't miss out on a fun-filled week with lots of wonderful people in an area that has so much to offer!

How’s it going everyone. I’m pretty excited about this event. I’ll be hopefully autocrossing this event. Does anyone have any insight on rules for the autoX? Is there any minimum requirements to race? Or do I just throw on a helmet and have some fun. I did inquire through the email on the event site. Still waiting to hear back Thanks in advance RaD

Big Al, are you saying that you are past the age of piling into a dorm room and sleeping on the floor?

I spoke with Laurie ,the main organizer of MMEast and she assured me that the host hotel was going to be great and that she had negotiated the S***e out of them to get a fabulous rate

I really don’t care for myself but if you bring your wife and family with you,then you should expect something clean and decent, not like the International Palms flop house we had to stay at in CoCoa Beach

I say this in all due respect to Dion, Rocky and the rest of the organizers, in fact if l look back on some of the places l have stayed then , we’ll lets not go there...........
