I like the look of those minivation hinges.  Mousy is helping me out with some originals, but I am not opposed to trying the new set if I run into trouble beyond my capabilities.

Riley, not all of them use the original mounts. The v2.5 mount to the inner wing.

The Minivation hinges use the original mounting brackets.

I am not replacing the bulkhead- I am cheap on time and money.  In addition, the original is in good shape, with the exception of the dash mounting area was removed to allow for some ridiculous engine modifications (I replaced with sheet metal).  I can't seem to figure why the previous owner decided the hinges had to be removed, other than simply being there without a purpose in his eyes.  I assumed that the hinge mount wouldn't be too difficult to source, as long as they were removed gently.

My next issue as I mentioned will be mounting location.  If I remember correctly, the mount is attached to a section of the bulkhead that is pronounced, correct?  Almost like a cross member?  I have a new bonnet that I can use to line everything up, so hopefully it wont take too much effort.

Are you replacing the bulkhead panel? I think new ones come with the hinge brackets already in place.

The PO of my Classic Mk1 Mini removed the dashboard bulk head when transitioning to a fiberglass front end and nontraditional dashboard.  I am restoring back to pseudo-original condition, and I have found that the mounts for the bonnet hinges are no longer present.  I can find all of the hinges on mini mania, but I cant find the actual mount that the hinge attaches to the bulkhead/firewall.

Does anyone know where I can find these mounts?

They seem simple, but I am afraid if I make my own they wont be a suitable quality.

The next difficult task I have in front of me (if I find them) is mounting in exactly the right place...

Thanks!
Tom
