Once again, i'd like to remind all of you that the reason why i put up this lovely thread is for the purpose of criticizing, appreciating, commenting about people and minis, i give credit, where credit is due... if i see somethings that are weird to me, i have to voice out my opinion. Same thing if i see something ought to be appreciated, i will tell the whole world my appreciation.
Having said that, i want to make a comment about this one classic mini for sale in the for sale section of this forum, it's the silver gray topdown mini with 1275 engine and 13inch tire, with super modified quarter panels, that cost $10K.  owned by a certain Daniel Wagner. , i find that mini so awsome, considering that it even has the 1275 engine. the design is excellent, if i ever have money today i would've bought it., if you ever offer me 10 mokes over that one mini? i will choose that silver gray mini in a heartbeat, no questions asked, that mini is well designed.  my hands down to whoever modified it. 3 thumbs up.   i wonder why nobody is interested in it, i think i'm the only one who has an eye for beauty.
And it's from Florida, i hope there's not too much rust in it, but with florida's 200% Humidity, im sure there some rust.

guys, this makes me sad....i read on the other thread that somebody drives his mini so HARD,at WOT, and now he is complaining that he had alternator problem, coil problem, distributor issues, bad battery, ignition,mi-tuned carburetor, he even showed his black soothe'd spark plug, etc etc etc...ya'll know that i love classic minis to death and i dislike people abusing them then complain at the end. so having said that, i want to dedicate this song to the owner of that red mini...hope this serves as a wake up call for him to start taking care of his mini... ----------->  https://youtu.be/Sygnf90ZEj8

Again , applying a compound to the squealing belt is like putting band aid on a wound, only a temporary relief.,. quite unprofessional.

Funny how this individual would come up with a self made theory that a belt that sqeal is a worn out belt,   The reason why alternators have adjusting bolts is to regain the tension when belt is loosening, it might wear a little but it doesnt mean that its totally worn out. Some people are impulsive, they always wants to buy new belt rather than adjusting the tension bolts.   Haaaay!!!  But i understand, thats human nature, people think that they're always right, and dont admit they're wrong.      Jeeeez!!!

Did you guys notice that one mini for sale in the For sale section?  the 1973 red morris mini?, all the pictures were Upside down, i think it was done on purpose.  i hope nobody buys it UNTIL he makes the picture look normal.   it's so funny!!,  i can't believe there's someone silly-er than me.  I think those pictures are useless unless there's somebody here who's willing to turn his computer screen upside down to view it......i'm sure Mr."across the Pond" guy will do it..  .hahaha
And he said the car ran well when parked,,without a gas tank....i was like,, really???! the car ran maybe 10 feet until the gas inside the fuel line and reservoir were all consumed ,,then it stopped.  // and he said that the car has paperwork but i'ts in the possession of the CHP for inspection. i was like omg!     That ad should be in the Friday funnies....lol....the owner should definitely win the "Mr. Bean" Award.

Any mini that is for sale below $5,000 will have an upside down pictures.

But kidding aside, with that price i'm sure a lot of newbies will be interested. hope it sells fast.

aaaaanyway!

Everybody thinks the classic Mini is cute but not many really want to own one or use one as a daily driver. People want creature comforts, like comfortable seats, A/C, safety features like crash-worthiness, air bags etc. Those don't fit into a tiny car, which is why they made the new MINI so much bigger. But to most people, it looks and handles just like a classic.

The big question tho is can they keep up with the then popularity of the Classic mini? When every classic mini rally they are being booo'ed  , i feel bad for them but i wished they have retained the overall appearance of the classic  and just upgraded the motor.    It's people clamor not just me

That idea of selling to Honda is about 17 years too late. Already sold completely to BMW who now are the full and clear owners.

You know, just a thought....why don't the Honda Corporation buy the rights and royalty of the Classic mini from BMC(or wherever)and build their own upgraded version. They must retain the original size and shape of the mini and upgrade the engine, and since it was proven that the Honda B16/type R engine fits the mini, they might be able to reproduce these type of engines and  come up with the idea to build a powerful fast running Classic mini with modern specs. i'm sure it will sell quick like pancakes especially if they mass produce it.
