Passenger ticket is about 100$ + Vehicle charge is 195$ and it takes 16-18 hrs to get to florida! Riding the train!>
Ive heard it works!
Get your mini to DC and ride the train down!
That being said you can call a shipping broker. I've used four seasons for both personal and "work" cars.

Where in Florida are you moving to?
Just make sure you go the right way at the right time.... North to south needs to be done at the end of winter ... when all the Snow birds are going the other way.... It will save you $$$$
Cheers, Ian

I would just buy or rent a trailer and trailer it down.
Then, if you bought, just sell the trailer in Florida

I am sure there have already been many discussions on transporting a mini, but I have not been successful finding anything by searching the forum or topics.
I am moving from NY to Florida and I would like to explore transport options form others that have moved a mini to another state or just a long distance. Mine is a 76 in good condition, I store it in the NY writer months and drive it weekly in the summer, on local trips fo 25 miles or less. It is not mechanically sound enough to consider driving that far, nor am I sound enough for that kind of adventure.
Any ideas, or articles you can point me to?
Thanks, Blaine (Biggles)
