These baskets are available from the 1959 Register.  They tend to have batches of them made every now and again so they may not have any available immediately.

I think Alex set it up.  I would love to get a set now if I could.

Sure looks like I did. How do I manage to sleep at night?

I will say I have a pair of bespoke rear wicker baskets and they are very handy to have. The one on the co-pilots side acts as my glove box (registration papers / insurance docs and such) since I can reach it from the drivers seat with little effort. As I recall the ones I picked up were sourced from a group buy here on the forum maybe 15yrs ago. Don't recall what the cost was but I'd buy another set in a heart beat if I needed them.

It's been a while now but I believe the company name was "Raleigh"....like the bicycle manufacturer?  It was a bicycle company that no longer made bicycles...if that is not correct?

asilverstein,

I live in New Jersey. These are as per originals, have the slanted top and are hinged and have leather closures, like the originals, and fit nicely under the rear seats. I think they are the finishing touch to a nice mini.

If you are interested, contact me via my email from my profile.

Cheers!

...maybe
We just saw a set of open-top ones that are a nicer weave, but the originals I think had tops like yours. Which end of Canada are you on?

I had this pair made in Britain. Initial cost was 60GBP, but with shipping, exchange rates, bank charges, duty etc I was on the hook for $200 Cdn

Al, you and I have been friends for many years. Your Canadian humor sometimes makes me think twice, but I knew you couldn't have been serious!!! hehe

Anyway, it's a good price for the quality of these baskets. I won't sell mine for that price

Al, you have to be a bit more considerate. Some people just don't get Canadian humour, eh?
